What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session in an introduction and get to know each other session. I have discovered that most clients are not eager to open up until about the third session so are nervous in the first session. Let's build the relationship.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

You can expect strength in working with defiance, communication skills, healthy relationship building and self-awareness skills. We work as a team to build a new narrative.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I believe in positive psychology and focus on what is going well for the client. What are the exception moments for the client. What is working we do more of, what is not working is where more solutions will come forward in the work together.

As a former county social worker, I find meeting a client where they are and understanding their view on their situation is valuable.
