I am an LPC in Connecticut. I have specialized training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, Gottman Bringing Baby Home and Accelerated Resolution Therapy. I am working toward certification in Beck Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. “Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a unique approach to psychotherapy. ART is unique because the ART Therapist guides the client to replace the negative images in the mind that cause the symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress with positive images of the client’s choosing. And this is done quickly, most often within one session! Once the negative images have been replaced by positive ones, the triggers will be gone.” I am licensed as am LMHC in RI, cash pay clients only in RI.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will work to get to know one another’s personalities to see if we are a good fit. We will begin to explore your current and historical experiences together to determine how to best work with one another. I will answer any questions you may have about therapy and work on starting a treatment plan together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I work hard to build a good rapport, to listen to your spoken and unspoken language while working with you to gain new skills over time.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have taken several Beck trainings in CBT and have been using it in sessions for quite a few years.

Interpersonal

Interpersonal therapy is encouraged in the postpartum support international trainings and this clinician has learned aspects through those trainings and some readings.

Psychoeducation

I work to make sure clients understand their diagnoses, the symptoms and how they affect their daily functioning.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Depending on the client, I work with them to obtain skills to help them cope and change behaviors to alleviate stressors.

Supportive

A combination of all treatment modalities as well as building a healthy therapeutic relationship is the root of supporting clients.
