My name is Laurissa Miller. I am an LCSW that lives in Ventura County, California. I have 13 years of experience with kids, trauma, PTSD, and foster care. I have also worked with children with Autism and ADHD. My goal is always to meet my clients where they are at and work as a team to help them accomplish their goals. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will chat about expectations and goals. We will chat about the limitations of therapy. I will get to know you and what you're looking to accomplish. Why you came. With all of that I will make a plan moving forward with you.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I don't use any specific method or tools until I meet the client. Everyone is an individual and not everything that works for one person will work for another.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strengths are pointing out your positives. talking you through situations. Making goals together that work for you. I look at each person as an individual and know not everything that works with one is going to work with another.
