Hi! I'm a Licensed Mental Counselor in Florida, South Carolina, and Ohio. I received my Master's degree from Barry University in Miami, Florida. I've practicing independently in Florida for 15 years. I work with young and older adults struggling with depression, anxiety, social issues as well as substance abuse. I come into the process of therapy with genuine curiosity about my clients' lives; this helps me identify how I can best assist them. Working collaboratively, I help them develop the necessary skills to make the changes to improve their life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we can start with a brief introduction and then dive into the specific challenges you’re facing. This will help me get a better idea as to what is going on in their lives and help me develop a plan to work through in our following sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my biggest strengths is that my clients feel safe and heard when speaking with me. I don't judge, I ask questions with curiosity and true interest. The answers will not scare me or disappoint me. I like challenges.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

At some point in life, we all need a sounding board to help us find our way back when we feel stuck. I provide a safe, trusting, and non-judgmental space to explore your feelings. I ask questions, listen attentively, and with genuine curiosity to help you gain a greater self-understanding so you can make the changes you need to make. Together we can get you back to live your life the best you can.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I strongly believe that you are the expert and with some assistance, you can find your answers. This therapy tends to be short and geared towards a particular current problem. For that reason, we will review past successes and see how best to apply them to the issue at hand.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I used CBT with clients to help them develop coping skills to monitor mood changes, identify core beliefs, and see the connection between situations, thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I also use it with clients so they can learn to evaluate decisions (Pros/cons); stress management skills, relaxation skills, time management and prioritization of tasks, etc.
