Hey, everyone! Welcome! My name is Samantha and I have been a clinician for the past twelve years or so. I love helping my clients to reach their full potential and to achieve their goals, and I find being a clinician to be so special and rewarding. I have experience working with clients of all ages in settings such as K-12 schools, juvenile justice, long-term care/geriatrics, etc. I am a mom, and it is the BEST job in the world and yet is also the most challenging job in the world! What a rollercoaster ride, huh? In my free time I enjoy listening to audiobooks, de-cluttering (it's therapeutic for me!), and spending time with my family. Fun fact- I also have a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and I took two years of Japanese language classes in high school!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Clients can expect to take away increased awareness, small attainable goals to work on, a sense of peace knowing that I’ve got their back, and skills that they can utilize to help them manage their feelings, stress, symptoms, etc.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I get that life is crazy ride for each of us and I believe that we can all benefit from support. In my private practice, I specialize in working with those struggling with postpartum, infertility, depression, anxiety, loss, relationship issues, divorce, co-parenting, identity, stress management, life changes, career issues, etc.

My treatment methods

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I utilize Mindfulness-Based Therapy in coordination with Cognitive Based Therapy because it engages clients in conscious awareness of their present moment and includes openness and non-judgment about the experience. The focus is on increasing our awareness of the thoughts, feelings, and actions that hinder one's progress. When they are better able to do that, they can engage with those aspects of themselves, learn to tweak their language, and choose how to respond.
