Hi there. My name is Tina. I am a warm and empathic Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Austin, Texas. I work primarily with depression, anxiety, trauma, high conflict couples, families, life transitions and women issues. My goal in therapy is to embark on a journey with you of self-discovery, personal growth and healing. It is my responsibility to establish a healthy therapeutic relationship with you, where you can feel safe to embark on a journey of self-discovery that promotes self-awareness and development of new healthy behavior patterns that enhances your holistic well-being. You can expect to be heard, validated, accepted & equipped with tools that can help you cope with what life is throwing at you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will get to know each other and talk about what has brought you into therapy. We will create a treatment plan that will detail the goals for therapy and what you are looking to get out of therapy. I will answer and questions and concerns that you have. The modality of treatment will be tailored to what you are needing.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength as a therapist is my ability to connect with a client and be fully present with a client. This allows me to see and connect dots and help my clients connect those dots as well. I have experienced a great deal in my life and thus empathize and deeply connect with my clients while meeting them at the place that they are needing.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

The aim of this modality is to help people learn to manage their emotions and make positive life changes

Psychodynamic
