Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who is licensed in Chicago and New York City. I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Yeshiva University in New York City and am also a Columbia University graduate (B.A. Psychology). I have over 20 years' experience helping people manage anxiety (panic, phobias, obsessions and compulsions, trauma), depression, interpersonal/relationship issues, and anger. I also work with older adults and individuals with physical challenges. I use cognitive behavioral and mindfulness/stress management psychotherapy approaches to help people make positive changes in their lives by changing the way they act, think, feel, and interact with others, as well as manage stress more effectively.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session, I will introduce myself, find out what challenges you are interested in addressing, and then ask for some brief background history, relevant to your current situation. Towards the end of the session, I will outline the strategies and steps that we can take to address your issues and start making improvements in your life.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My greatest strength as a provider is my extensive experience with a variety of patients and symptoms. I have helped people of various ages, backgrounds, and cultures, as well as orientations and am sensitive to individual differences in how people feel, think, and react. I have helped individuals who experienced workplace trauma, older adults, chronically mentally ill individuals, and the many people trying to start or improve lives and careers in big cities like Chicago and New York, as well as more rural areas.
