Hi, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been practicing since 2019 since my internship to date with my license. I currently work in a substance rehabilitation center in the men's section and loving every minute of it. I have found that they learn so much and want to gain the tools to better their lives and not let the disease of addiction continue in their lives.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will get to know each other a bit. I will ask a variety of questions to see the areas that need attention and if you know exactly what you need please do tell. If you are struggling to understand what is happening we will work together to find out what will need's work.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Working with adults that have struggled with addiction has made me well versed in a variety of mental illnesses that have led to the addiction as well as understanding traumas that have led to the same. I am very creative in the way I detail each session to the specific client I am working with addressing the specific traumas and how to create better future with the tools needed to become more resilient.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with a variety of people not one specific person as I enjoy creating a space where my client will gain tools to better their lives and become more emotionally stable. I have seen that I can work well with both adolescents and adults. I have enjoyed helping my clients become more stable and able to make better choices in their lives and hope to continue doing so with you.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I like to observe what may be the issue that the Client is experiencing and find solutions that will address the problem. I know that there are some clients that need to work on specific matters and this seems to help some of my clients.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Since I have been working with substance use this has been very effective with my clients. To be able to find reduction in both anxiety and depression we can see how these begin to transform a clients life and they are then able to put together goals. Improving their general outlook in life and improving their emotional regulation.

Attachment-based

Working with children in the foster care system and specifically in the CSEC (commercially exploited children) has helped me working with childhood traumas which in turn in adulthood transform into a variety of illnesses. This type of treatment has improved relationships and the attachments in a clients life.
