What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will discuss your experiences that lead you to seek therapy and then create a treatment plan together. We will then start engaging in evidenced based strategies to help you cope with adversity.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Therapy is an opportunity to enhance or create a sense of wellbeing and healing. A safe place to be seen, heard and to receive support. Therefore, I bring empathy, acceptance and understanding to each session.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Do you feel strong, intense, emotions and it's affecting your life? DBT is a modality that is used to address deep and intense emotions. DBT treatment equips you with coping skills in interpersonal effectiveness, mindfulness, distress tolerance and emotional regulation. DBT works with individuals to help them find ways to manage their negative emotions so they can feel balanced, in control, and able to interact respectfully and successfully.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

During our time together, we will explore your emotions, thoughts, and experiences to gain insight into the things going on in your life. CBT is an evidence based modality that I use within my practice and it looks at how emotions, behavior's and thoughts are interrelated. Using the CBT model, we can target specific areas of concern and equip you with the tools you need to find relief. Therapy is a safe space to explore and untangle the different facets of your life. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is much more than sitting and talking about whatever comes to mind during a session. CBT sessions are structured to ensure that the therapist and the person in treatment are focused on the different goals of each session, which in turn ensures that each and every session is productive.
