Hi! I'm Michelle! Do you feel overwhelmed with your day to day? Are you struggling with relationships? Are you going through life transitions? I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York and Florida. I have been practicing since 2016 after I graduated from Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University. I have worked in various settings including children and families, older adults, teenagers, and young adults. I am here to help you create a healthier mindset to help work through your emotions and thoughts, as well as work through life's challenges.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

First and foremost, we will ensure that you have a safe space to feel your emotions and express yourself. In your first session with me, you can expect us to get to know each other a bit. I'll ask you some questions to understand your needs, goals, and preferences. We may discuss what brings you to therapy and what you hope to achieve.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe in the power of connection and collaboration, striving to build a trusting relationship with each client. Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, or navigating a difficult life transition, I am here to walk alongside you on your journey towards healing and growth.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Throughout my training, I have become familiar and passionate about CBT. I work with individuals to help them identify patterns of thoughts, feelings, and actions that may result in a cycle of distress. I believe it is important to look at the full picture when in therapy. Together we will come up with a way to manage emotions and thoughts while also identifying healthy coping skills.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing is an approach that is used to facilitate behavior changes by resolving ambivalence. Through emphasizing empathy, collaboration, and evocation of the client's motivation for change, I will use Motivational Interviewing (MI) techniques to help explore goals and values while also fostering a sense of discrepancy between your current behavior and desired outcomes. Motivational interviewing promotes sustainable and meaningful transformations through empowering clients to make their own change plan.

Supportive

I provided a non judgmental and safe space in which I allow the client to express themselves. I will work with you to develop appropriate coping mechanisms, along with healthy behaviors
