Hello! I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and have 13 years of experience in the social work and psychotherapy field. I specialize in several different modalities that address an array of symptoms and mental health issues. My approach is client-centered, collaborative, solution focused, strengths and evidence-based. I prioritize building a trusting and safe therapeutic relationship focused on the mind body soul connection. The main goal is to assist clients with healing from the past, improve the present, and look forward to the future with a new philosophy to approach life's changes and challenges. I have a master's degree in clinical social work from Touro College and have completed trainings and certifications for cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, psychoanalysis, and mindfulness based stress reduction. In addition to emotion focused therapy and internal family systems training for the treatment of couples and families.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is meant to gather background information and develop a rapport with the client, in addition to exploring the current concerns and issues that has brought the client to therapy. The session would end with a collaborative discussion on what the goals are for therapy and how I can help with achieving them.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with a variety of clients on countless issues for the last 13 years in a host of different settings, I believe I have a unique perspective on how to approach different challenges that clients face throughout life stages.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with motivated and engaged clients who have struggled with anxiety, depression, PTSD, low self-esteem, relationship/family issues, stress/burnout and life stage adjustment issues. I am a good fit for clients who are ready to make changes but require assistance with coping strategies, implementation/consistency and an overall different and healthier perspective.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

This is my favorite treatment method as targeting maladaptive thought patterns is a core principle of good therapy, and this particular method allows this to occur throughout the therapy experience. It is a sure way to improve mood, reduce stress and improve daily functioning.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

This is a treatment modality I am fully trained in and have a lot of experiencing using with clients. This treatment method is used with many different types of issues and is a great way to improve self-worth and relationship issues.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness is also a must for therapy sessions as it facilitates the pathway to increased self-awareness which then opens the door to many other needed changes and benefits.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

SFT is also one of my favorites as it encompasses an important life philosophy of shifting your focus to the solution as opposed to keeping it on the problem. I believe this is a skill that can be taught and is important to make a regular practice when encountering life's struggles and challenges.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

This treatment method is another I utilize often for many different types of issues that arise including trauma, relationship difficulties, and other life transitions. It has its root in stoicism which has been an anecdote to human suffering for centuries.
