I have been providing psychotherapy for over 16 years, specializing in Trauma, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Mood Disorders, and Adjustment Disorders, among many other concerns. I primarily focus on treating individuals (individual therapy) while on understanding relational concerns (how various relationships affect functioning, i.e., work, family, friends). I enjoy helping people of all religions, ethnicities, sexualities, gender expressions, abilities and disabilities. Additional information about me: I am a military veteran and equipped to work through various forms of trauma. In combination with my experience in Clinical Psychology, M.A., I also hold additional training and experience in Sport and Exercise Psychology, M.A., which helps me guide you toward a whole mind and body wellness.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will start with brief introductions and then dive into specific challenges you are facing this will help us create a tailored plan, for us to work through and follow up sessions.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I use therapeutic tools, in a systematic approach. We begin our first session(s) with client centered approaches, building the connection, trust, respect, and creating a safe environment. Additionally, in this stage, we incorporate psychodynamic formulations, in order to assess the who, what, when, where, why, and how, exploring your life from birth until present, and assess your future life dreams, goals, and plans. As treatment progresses, we will incorporate cognitive behavioral therapies, as well as motivational interviewing techniques and solution focused interventions, in order to identify maladaptive behaviors and replace them with more adaptive behaviors. At any stage of our treatment, we only move as fast or slow as you like, as the client, you, are in charge of treatment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My most significant strengths are in using client centered approaches, psychodynamic treatments, and cognitive behavioral interventions. The areas I have the most strengths and successes are in working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, anger and irritability, adjustment, occupational issues, and trauma. A major focus of my skills includes communication skills and relationship problem solving techniques, to help me clarify, conceptualize, and articulate concerns with you, to develop a more thorough understanding of your concerns.
