Welcome! I recognize how much effort it can take just to consider therapy, so I’m glad you’re here. If you are looking for someone who is interested in your experience of the world and invested in building a relationship to help you achieve your goals, you have come to the right place. Together, we will create sessions that are tailored to fit your needs. I will encourage your joy and humor, note your strengths, and meet you in your vulnerability. My therapeutic approach has been described as warm, authentic, and "a perfect blend of nurturing and accountability". I value the mind-body connection, fostering distress tolerance, and deepening our understanding of ourselves.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, you're the star, but I also want you to know what to expect. I'll go over my practice policies, cancellation policy, etc. I'll tell you a little bit about how I do things, and of course you are encouraged to tell me not only what brings you to therapy, but what you hope to get out of it. If you haven't decided that yet, no worries. We can figure it out together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

While I help a variety of individuals reach their goals, some of my strengths lie in helping people through boundary work and perfectionism. I love helping people reach the balance of self love and vulnerability that is being aware of your own needs and upholding your boundaries. I also enjoy supporting people as they recognize the ways perfectionism might impact their life, and working to adopt a more balanced approach.

My treatment methods

Experiential Therapy

I am a trained art therapist, so you have the option to make art in session as a way of understanding yourself and your emotions.

Motivational Interviewing

The answers are often already inside of us, so I use motivational interviewing as a way to get you thinking more about where you want to go and how to get there.

Polyvagal Therapy

Our emotions often begin in our nervous system. I love educating on the nervous system and how you can regulate it.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I use "parts work" to help you identify and heal the many "parts" of yourself. It can help us understand our complex internal world and come up with creative solutions to problems we face.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I like to use mindfulness to help you deepen your relationship with yourself and regain power over your thoughts and emotions.
