Hello I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing for 20 years. I received my Master's degree from California State University Los Angeles and my California License from the Board of Behavioral Sciences. I love to help people understand themselves and practice skills that can help them manage symptoms that are interfering in their lives blocking them from achieving their goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

A safe and non-judgmental environment; validation of feelings and compassionate attention. As time progresses, We will create together collaborative goals that are achievable

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Love to help people delve into their own thinking process. Going deeper into the actual root causes of their problems helping people understand their strengths and resilience to know how to manage anything increasing their sense of competence.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

This therapy helps you gain insight into patterns of thinking and behaving you may not be completely aware of. It helps you to focus on making changes. Your feelings influence your thoughts and actions and vice versa. CBT helps to identify cognitive distortions and be better able to manage stress, anxiety, anger, etc.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Helps to incorporate mindfulness techniques such as grounding, breathing, and bring awareness to our present moment helping to reduce stress, depression, anxiety, etc

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Assist in problem solving and creating a plan to manage overwhelming emotions and find emotional release and self-empowerment in the process

Trauma-Focused CBT

Processing traumas and focusing on the thoughts and behaviors it may have created in our lives is the goal to release and set us free from PTSD to PTSG

Somatic

It allows the person to shift perception from thinking to sensing including the body in the process of healing and bringing loving attention to your body.
