Steven is a Licensed Professional Counselor - Supervisor with a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology. He is pursuing a doctorate in Organizational Leadership with a specialization in Conflict Resolution. His love of counseling comes from working with minorities of diverse backgrounds. He enjoys connecting with people whose history has shaped the person they have become. Typically, he relates most easily with young adults who have a tough time navigating through life's transitions. Sometimes this transition can increase anxiety, feelings of depression, or irritability. My focus is on helping individuals and smaller families feel empowered. Many things have happened in the last few years that might have shifted the way you see the world. We all need support to understand our needs and feelings. Wherever you are, I aim to be someone in your corner, someone who has your back. These are a few of my favorite things: Anime: HunterXHunter, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, My Hero Academia, and ....Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba This list changes per month... Musical Artist: J.Cole, Big Krit, Robert Glasper, CholexHallle (so underrated) All things Nintendo! We are starting a Podcast! Please listen to the intro. I did the editing....it's rough. https://open.spotify.com/show/0T0QnPrzs6gPYnLLa2zlSv https://www.2pointperspective.org

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is where the journey begins. It's common for this to be the most difficult one because we ask a lot of questions to create an image of your life. During this time, we also start to paint a picture of your future desires from yourself.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I advocate for using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Seeking Safety, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Applied Behavioral Analysis, and Positive psychology.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strengths are creativity, curiosity, humor, and fairness. I love learning about people and creating options or game plans to help individuals move toward happiness.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I will work with anyone, but I specialize in adults with mental health issues and people going through a difficult transition.
