Hi! My name is Brittany Phillips, and I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC). I received my Master of Health Sciences in Clinical Counseling from the great LSU. I have been serving clients across the globe (licensed in PA, CT, LA and have serviced clients in the UK and Australia) for the past six years. I'm a chameleon in the field and have worked in multiple settings. I'm an upbeat and encouraging clinician who has formed incredible relationships with my clients over the years. I pride myself on being a safe haven and a judgement free zone.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, I'll spend time getting to know you. I'm really big on rapport and truly having an understanding of who you are and what challenges you may be facing. We will also dive into the foundation of building you a custom treatment plan to assist with your journey. Just be prepared to be yourself, that allows me to really give you the best treatment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength is how down to earth and warm I am in session. I love practicing unconditional positive regard. Therapy should be a complete safe zone where you feel comfortable and trust your clinician to collaborate with you. I pride myself on providing that.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize this method through understanding of how we process our environment and how it impacts us emotionally and mentally. I provide a no-judgment free zone to explore the root of how we respond to the world around us.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

I'm specialized in ERP for the treatment of OCD and specific phobia. This method allows us to address core fears, create a fear and response list, and customize exposures to truly tackle the condition.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-centered therapy is my primary approach. I love serving as a tool for clients to utilize in their personal growth journeys. I often characterize this approach as me providing a light during a dark moment.

Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation is extremely important to me. I am full of information and resources, and I ensure that my clients are well informed throughout the process. I'm always open to questions and teaching new things.
