Hello, I am Tracy. Glad you are here and have reached out for help. That is not always easy. Let me pose some questions to contemplate. Have you been feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or down? Have relationships become strained or are they not the quality you would like them to be? Are you wanting to be the best version of yourself, but feel you need support from a trained professional? We have so many roles that we fulfill in life and that can be a lot to manage from time to time, particularly if we have additional stressors affecting us that we did not anticipate. In therapy, I provide space in the therapeutic relationship for patients to feel comfortable, be themselves, and share what their concerns are while withholding judgment. I am passionate about the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy coupled with Interpersonal Processes and Whole Self interventions in sessions. This integrative approach utilizes specific interventions to address depression, anxiety, uncertainty in life transitions, relationship concerns or anxiety, in addition to family dynamics. I believe that the mind and body are connected and lean toward a whole self approach by incorporating the needs of your mind, body, and spirit. I tend to fold mindfulness, meditation, art, and journaling in addition to addressing any physical or spiritual needs that may arise. This integrative approach results in patients feeling empowered, centered, and clear-minded. They have a better sense of self and improved self-care. A stronger relationship with oneself results from gaining insight and perspective, changing untrue thought patterns, and learning ways to better cope with negative feelings and thoughts, as well as primary relationships in their life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our initial session together, I typically ask a lot of questions to gain an understanding of what you are needing from the therapy experience. I like to have a general understanding of where you are coming from and where you want to land at the end of our time together. We will also engage in some goal setting, which is driven by the patient. You are always the driver in our sessions and I as the therapist am guiding you or assisting you in finding the best path forward in your therapy journey. Of course, if you have an immediate concern I we will also spend some time focusing on that too. I can be flexible in how we spend our time and balance what is needed to be accomplished clinically versus what the patient needs in the present moment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength as a clinician is providing a safe space to process thoughts and feelings. My ability to make clients feel at ease and comfortable. I utilize a diverse array of interventions and am multiculturally minded and affirming of all identities. I have extensive experience utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy and process interventions to address depression, anxiety, and trauma to name a few.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I incorporate CBT as a way to conceptualize client concerns in how they are interpreting the world and others around them based on their current belief systems. Inherent with CBT is that these beliefs can be faulty or distorted and may need augmented to reduce emotional distress.

Psychodynamic

Psychodynamic conceptualization of current psychological distress helps to better understand where some of the problems may have started. Therefore, utilizing this approach you can often get to the root of the problem or the core beliefs that one has formed about themself in childhood or at other significant times in life. Providing therapeutic feedback and other interventions that ignite insight into oneself and these dynamics can help the client correct these issues going forward.
