I'm Dana Tresca. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and my passion is supporting people in all stages of life to work towards finding purpose and becoming the best versions of themselves. I love what I do and have always wanted to make a difference in people's everyday lives. I love working through client's symptoms, everyday life issues, and to help them reach their own personal goals. I graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a BA Degree in Psychology and Social Sciences, I then completed my Master's Degree with my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Immaculata University. I have been serving adolescents and adults as an Outpatient Therapist for many years now, seeing clients aged 13-83 with behavioral and mental health issues such as ODD, PTSD, ADHD, ASD, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, Personality Disorders, Trauma, Relationship Issues, Grief and Loss, Life Transitions, etc. I am also licensed in North Carolina, Michigan, and soon to be South Carolina as well, that way I can reach out to as many people as possible for help and support.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will collaborate on realistic treatment plan goals that highlight what you want and need from therapy. I place a high value on my relationship with my clients and I always want them to feel comfortable with expressing their needs with me in this therapeutic process, a positive therapist and client rapport is very important to me.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I use a compassionate, research-based, person-centered and cognitive-behavioral approach in my work. I believe in slow, steady progress that allows for grace and self-compassion. I'm so grateful that you are here, and I would be honored to be your therapist.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I often use several counseling theories due to catering to the client's needs. I use primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Approach, but have incorporated Family Systems Theory, Attachment Theory, Person-Theory, etc. all based on my individual client's needs.
