My main focus as a therapist is to foster a space where you can be yourself. Where you can say or feel anything. I try to do this by listening, affirming, being curious, and collaborating with you to find a better way forward. Therapy is about looking at problems and finding new ways to handle them. This can mean learning how to manage difficult moments, gaining self-knowledge, searching for meaning, healing from old wounds, or journeying towards a more authentic, fully-formed version of yourself. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 15 years of experience working with adults, children, and families, across a range of therapeutic settings. I do my best to acknowledge the myriad ways in which social, cultural, and economic inequities shape how we understand ourselves and interact with the world. Currently, I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship problems, meaninglessness, and the residual impacts of past traumas.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session I'll be interested to learn more about why you made an appointment and what kind of help you're looking for. I'll tell you about myself and how I approach counseling, as well as how we can work together to help you. I do this by being relaxed and curious, affirming, nonjudgmental, and collaborative.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

In addition to my psychodynamic perspective I have also received training in CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Solutions Focused Brief Therapy. I will tailor my approach to best suit your needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am kind and patient, empathetic and relaxed. I listen without judgment.
