Hi there! I'm a Licensed Independent Certified Social Worker (LICSW) with 7 years of experience dedicated to supporting children's mental health. My passion lies in helping young people navigate challenges and build strong foundations for their well-being. I believe in creating a safe and supportive space where your child feels heard and empowered. Together, we can develop strategies to help them thrive, both emotionally and socially.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will be a chance for all of us to get acquainted! I'll introduce myself and explain my approach to working with children. Then, we'll have a conversation about what brings your child to therapy. This will be a chance for you to share your observations and concerns, and for me to ask some questions to get a better understanding of your child's unique experiences.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to build strong connections with clients. I believe creating a safe and supportive space is essential for therapy to be successful. I use creative approaches, like fun games, to make clients feel comfortable opening up and expressing themselves. This is particularly helpful when working with children, as play is a natural way for them to learn and communicate. Through these playful interactions, I can gently guide them in exploring their challenges and emotions

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

I've found that using a strengths-based approach with clients empowers them to take charge of their goals. By focusing on their existing strengths and resourcefulness, I've seen clients build confidence and effectively identify solutions. This approach fosters a positive and collaborative environment, leading to lasting change.

Trauma-Focused CBT

In my work with clients, I've utilized trauma-focused CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) to empower them to heal from past experiences. This approach has helped them identify negative thinking patterns stemming from the trauma and develop healthier coping strategies. I've witnessed firsthand the positive impact of TF-CBT, as clients gain emotional strength and move forward in a more fulfilling way.
