I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), with a Master of Science in marriage, family, and child counseling. I have extensive experience working with children, teens, adults, couples, and families. My areas of expertise include working with clients who are dealing with depression, anxiety, work stress, relational issues, and creating meaningful change in their lives. I also have a special interest and experience working with women before, during and after pregnancy. I have over fifteen years of experience working with clients of various ages, diagnoses, and backgrounds. I utilize a variety of treatment approaches including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. I strive to provide the time and space for my clients to express challenges, hopes, pain, etc. Finding solutions will be our first goal. I am a very open-minded therapist and enjoy working with motivated individuals who participate in the therapeutic process. I hope that clients feel safe and more connected to themselves after our work together and can go out into the world with more confidence and compassion for themselves and others.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Counseling may seem scary but continuing to push aside our struggles can be even scarier. I have extensive experience working with adults, couples, and families facing the challenges that many of us confront. I consider each client to be the expert of their own experience. I will offer empathy, validation, and a collaborative approach to each session. I am honored by the courage that each client has shown me in sharing their story and struggles. Life can bring us joy and pain- both are okay.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have over ten years of experience working as a clinician as well as a clinical supervisor. I have worked with clients of various ages, diagnoses, and backgrounds. I utilize a variety of treatment approaches including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic, and Existential.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I help my clients challenge the reoccurring thoughts that cause depression and/or anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.
