Hello! I am a dually licensed (LCSW and LCAS) clinician who received my Master's Degree from Fayetteville State University. I work with individual clients of all ages, such as children who have behavioral problems; late adolescents with educational and career concerns or substance abuse problems; adults facing marital or family difficulties, or career changes; and older adults facing situational/developmental life challenges.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session we'll work to establish rapport, discuss symptoms and what brought you to therapy. We'll discuss your goals and expectation(s) of treatment. This session will mostly be used for information gathering in an effort to better inform treatment. Clients are encouraged to share as much as they'd like. We'll also talk about methods to be employed for future session(s).

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with a diverse group of individuals from youth, to adults and geriatric for the past 5 years, I have developed a range of skills including or involving people from a range of different social and ethnic backgrounds and of different genders, sexual orientations, etc.

Motivational Interviewing

This modality is used to assess motivation for change and address any ambivalence towards change, primarily with Substance Use Disorders (SUD).

Person-centered (Rogerian)

This modality is used to empower clients by allowing clients to take more of a lead in sessions and discover their own solutions.
