Hello, I'm glad you're here. My name is Felisha and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), residing in Michigan. I am licensed as a counselor in both Michigan and Wyoming. My goal as a counselor is to provide you with a safe and compassionate space where you can find peace, healing, and hope. While this journey is yours, you do not have to face it alone.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our initial session together we typically begin by reviewing therapy norms such as scheduling, policies, and procedures. Beyond this, my intention within the first session is to meet you where you are at; creating a safe space for you to share relevant history, life experiences, and symptoms you may be encountering. I'm always open to answering any questions you may have; helping you feel as comfortable as possible as we begin this journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having the ability to truly understand and connect with my clients on a deep emotional level is a strength I am most proud of. This empathy allows me to create a safe and nurturing space where clients feel heard, validated, and supported in exploring whatever brings them into the counseling environment. Through this, we are able to create a genuine therapeutic relationship- facilitating healing, self-discovery, and personal empowerment.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

I believe that each individual is unique and special; therefore, I prefer an eclectic and collaborative approach to counseling; developing the treatment plan to reflect your unique needs. I often utilize EMDR, strengths-based, person-centered, parts work, & cognitive behavioral methods.

EMDR

I am trained in EMDR, which has been deemed effective in treating many areas of personal distress such as anxiety, and PTSD.
