Hi, I’m an LCPC based outside of Springfield, IL. I moved down here from Wisconsin about Five years ago. I’ve been practicing trauma informed care about 15 years. My clients are adults ready to work through depression, anxiety and PTSD. I hope through our sessions clients find their paths to successfully reach their personal goals. Hopefully, as your therapist you feel supported and heard.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will begin getting to know each other. I will be happy to answer any questions about our current and future therapy sessions together. I will take time to go over your intake paperwork and listen to your therapy needs. Therapy is a very personal space and my number one goal is your comfort. You will not be rushed to share information before you are ready. Therapy is a process and very individual. Mostly, a client can expect kindness and respect.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength is the passion I feel for my work and the respect i have for each client.

My treatment methods

Brainspotting

I am a certified Brainspotter. I began using brainspotting 6 years ago. It is a wonderful modality alone or as an adjunct to another therapeutic modality. I like it because it is completely individualized for each client and a basis in attunement.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I was trained in Person-centered therapy in graduate school. It is my base. I like person-centered therapy due to respect for the client’s perspective.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT can be very helpful therapeutically. There is usually an element of CBT in my therapy sessions.

Eclectic

Eclectic probably describes my therapeutic approach the best. Each client is an individual and certain modalities are better for some than others. It’s essential to have more than one modality in your tool box as a therapist.
