As an eclectic therapist, I specialize in working with adults of all ages, and occasionally older teenagers. My approach is versatile, drawing from various therapeutic modalities such as Existential therapy, Jungian therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I tailor treatment to your unique needs, accompanying you through life's challenges with support and guidance as you navigate the ups and downs of your journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The fisrt meeting is called an assessment. We will get to know eachother a bit. I will ask many questions such as "what brings you to therapy" and "what are your goals for therapy". You may also ask me questions if you like. After I gather all the information I need, I create a treatment plan with you. Then we discuss our first therapy session and what to expect.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a provider, my greatest strengths lie in my lived experience, ongoing commitment to personal growth, and diverse educational background.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I am best suited to serve clients who are adults of all ages, as well as older teenagers. My versatility and ability to draw from various therapeutic modalities make me well-equipped to address a wide range of issues and concerns. My clients may be seeking support with existential questions, exploring unconscious themes, managing cognitive and behavioral patterns, or developing emotional regulation skills. I also work with individuals looking for personalized treatment that adapts to their unique needs and circumstances.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a widely used therapeutic approach that focuses on identifying and modifying dysfunctional thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I use CBT as a structured, goal-oriented approach that empowers individuals to develop coping skills, challenge unhelpful thoughts, and change problematic behaviors to improve their mental health and well-being.

Existential

Existential therapy focuses on exploring the individual's experience of existence, meaning, and freedom. Here are some ways I use this with my Clients: exploring existential themes, embracing authenticity, confronting anxiety, finding meaning and living in the present.

Jungian

Jungian therapy focuses on exploring the unconscious mind, archetypes, and the individuation process. Some ways I use this type of therapy with my Clients are: exploring the unconscious, identifying archetypes, analyzing dreams, rebuilding personal myth, exploring the active imagination, and looking at symbology.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT aims to help individuals build a life worth living by developing skills to manage emotions, cope with distress, and build fulfilling relationships. A few ways I work with my Clients in this area are : Balancing accepting and change, behavioral analysis and grounding techniques.

Eclectic

Eclectic therapy is a blend of modalites used in a therapuetic setting. I find that tailoring my approach to the needs of my Clients is the best way to go, and I use the practice frequently.
