Hello, welcome to my page. I am a graduate from Westfield State University with a Master's in Social Work. I currently hold a license in individual clinical social work (LICSW). I love the work I do and am inspired by the lives of everyday people. I believe in engaging people in a non-judgmental, empowering, and respectful manner that is dynamic and unique to best fit your lifestyle. I strive to help clients feel valued, gain positive results, and achieve goals using tailored interventions to your needs. My approach I believe that regardless of what brings you to therapy most people are struggling with making peace with their humanness. Based on this principle I take a Humanistic approach to supporting Clients focusing on their existing strengths, challenging limiting self-narratives, and building healthy patterns of behavior. My focus I typically think of my clients as a "person in the environment approach" thinking about their interactions and relationships within the micro-to-macro systems that surround them. I work with adults who are feeling overwhelmed and managing symptoms of depression, anxiety, grief, and childhood trauma. Much of the deeper work done by my clients surrounds themes of perfectionism, childhood attachment wounds, and healing from relational trauma. My communication style I take a conversational tone in therapy trying to ensure I discuss clinical topics in a way that is meaningful, and easily applied to your daily life. My goals for you My approach to goal setting with clients is all about collaborating to identify your focus and needs. You are the expert in you so developing trust is always the first step to achieving any goals you may bring to therapy.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together we will do introductions and explore what you are looking to get out of therapy and why now you are seeking it. I like to know who is in your support system and what your relationship is like with them. Also what approaches have and haven't worked in the past in therapy if you have been in therapy before.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I like to identify the roots of what is going on and then build a treatment plan tailored to your needs and goals. Currently accept BCBS and Private Pay with a sliding scale

My treatment methods

Family Therapy

In our time together I would like to explore your support systems from childhood to now. It’s important to explore how the system you are born into affects you to this day. Also your relationship with macro systems outside your family and experiences in school, with authority figures, economy, work, society/culture you live in.

Attachment-based

Based on our upbringing, we learn to trust or not trust our environment, and the people around us, and to have either an optimistic or pessimistic view of self, others, and or life in general.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

It’s important to live a life that is free to be who you are despite fear. Fear often rules as an emotion and can be debilitating and life-sucking. Together we can explore these fears and how you can build confidence and trust that no matter what happens you can get through it. We all experience negative or un helpful thoughts at times, but it needs to be addressed when it starts to get in the way of our happiness or productivity. I’ve been treating Anxiety for over five years, mainly using CBT and prolonged exposure. We’ll focus on what triggers your thoughts, how they manifest, and are apart of how you feel and behave. We will review the narrative and false stories your mind tells you. Then, we’ll create a concrete plan that includes evidence-based techniques and work through it together until your anxiety is manageable.
