Hey there! I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) based in Boston, Massachusetts. I received my Masters from Boston College, specializing in Health and Mental Health. I love helping adults, young adults and adolescents struggling with stress, depression, and life transitions so they can reach their the goals they have for themselves. I am a firm believer that my clients are the experts of their lives, but sometimes we need some assistance in order to improve our lives. I love being one of those people that can help my clients along their way as they journey through life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, you can expect me to start with a brief introduction, and then I want to hear from you! It is so important to hear what is bringing you into therapy. I will listen intently and may ask some questions about your presenting concerns. We then will explore ways we can create a plan to attack the problem together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength is simply connecting with people and creating a compassionate and safe place for them. I am also a problem solver and like to give suggestions to my clients, but will never impose them in a way that my clients will feel pressure to do so. I keep it real with my clients, but will do it with kindness and empathy.

My treatment methods

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I love teaching my clients about what Mindfulness is, and what it isn't. There are so many misconceptions about mindfulness and I enjoy exploring this and doing mindfulness in sessions with my clients so they know how to use it.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

This foundational theory can be very handy with clients I have that are stuck in some of their negative thoughts or anxious thoughts that keep them from being their best selves. Dissecting how our thoughts behaviors and feelings are intertwined with my clients can be so informative on how they function in the world and how they can change it!

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

This modality is an exciting method to use with my clients as it focuses on using actions and the therapeutic activities involves are not only fun but can really help people who are struggling with more intense feelings or behaviors.
