With me you will find a safe place to explore your inner world. A place where you can express yourself freely, explore your thoughts, feelings, and the choices you make for your life. Know that this is a place where you are not judged and are free to take the necessary steps to become whole in mind, body, and spirit. I have a holistic client centered approach to counseling. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, experiencing symptoms from traumatic events, have relationship issues, cycle in and out of anxiety or depression I am here to help. I encourage you to take the next step in contacting me, to begin taking the necessary steps in overcoming your life struggles and/or your mental health needs. I will work with you, where you are at, and help you to reach the goals you set for yourself.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Your first session you will be asked questions about your presenting concerns as well as your history and you will set your own goals. We will begin working on those goals by exploring how your symptoms affect your life and we will work on learning and implementing coping strategies to utilize when those symptoms arise while you are on your path to healing. You can share as much or little as you desire.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

Client-centered - promotes a safe climate in which the therapist is empathetic and nonjudgmental. Cognitive Behavioral – focus on how thoughts, feelings, and behavior are integrated in a person’s life. Techniques utilized - such as exposure, social skills training, cognitive restructuring, problem-solving training, journaling, and relaxation training. Trauma-informed – Seeks an awareness of the impact trauma has on an individual’s life experience and relationships. Strength-based - Guides individuals toward a retelling of their personal history of traumas, stressors, and pain with more emphasis on themselves as a survivor than as a victim Solution focused – Short-term goal-focused approach that helps individuals construct solutions to their problems.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am passionate about helping people heal from generational trauma and childhood trauma. Trauma affects every area of a person’s life. Being able to heal and become whole drastically changes how a person views themselves and the world around them. In addition, I help people accept situations they cannot change and find peace and calm within themselves.
