Hi! I am Yami Daher, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Arizona. I received my Masters in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University in 2015 and have been practicing for over 10 years. My career began as a suicide prevention crisis counselor at Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services in Los Angeles, CA. More recently, I worked extensively with teens facing depression and anxiety, including group work with their families. I enjoy helping individuals and families improve their communication and understanding of one another. I am Spanish/English bilingual and able to practice in both languages.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Clients can expect a warm, thoughtful and nonjudgemental presence. If they are nervous or hesitant to open up at first, I am able to ask questions that make them feel comfortable and safe sharing their fears and concerns. From there, we are able to begin on a path that allows me to offer initial suggestions that will start our course of treatment.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I am able to get to the root of the problem in a short time. I am empathetic and understanding while also holding my clients accountable and helping model behavior. I am able to offer clients new perspectives that they may not have been able to see before.
