Hello! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Georgia. I received my Master of Family Therapy degree from Mercer University and have been practicing therapy for 4 years. I am passionate about working with adults struggling with anxiety and grief. I also work with couples who are hoping to improve their communication and connection to each other. On a personal level, I have been married to my husband since 2012, and we have three kids. We are also hosting a foreign exchange student from Germany this year! Our home is busy, and we love it! I am also a Registered Nurse, so I have a great deal of medical knowledge in my background.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, I will ask what you are hoping to work on in therapy. However, most of the time will be spent getting to know you from all different angles. I like to have a whole picture of my client instead of just focusing on the problem that is bringing you to see me. So, I will ask lots of different questions about varying aspects of your life! You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions about my process of therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I truly feel honored when my clients choose me as their therapist. To be trusted with someone's vulnerable emotions is not something I take lightly. I strive to create a warm, caring environment where you can express whatever is on your mind without judgement. If you are ready for more peace in your life, reach out today! I can't wait to meet you and walk alongside you on this journey.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize CBT techniques to explore current thought patterns that are creating distress for my clients. I then help them challenge those thoughts and create alternative pathways to a greater sense of peace mentally. I also examine client's behaviors and how those behaviors are contributing to overall feelings and wellness.
