I have been working in the mental health field since 2010. I began working with many clients who had developmental disorders and Autism; teaching life skills, and behavioral management. In 2012, I started working with children and families within a home and community setting. Teaching behavioral techniques/plans, coping skills, parenting techniques/skills, and assisted with 504 plans with school districts. I finished my master’s in clinical, mental health counseling degree in 2016, and began working with adults, running groups, and completing intakes. I have experience working with addictions, depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, personality disorders, Autism, and developmental disorders.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session with the clinician, she works with the clients to understand their background, what symptoms and challenges they face from day to day, and how these behaviors impact their families, friendships, and work lives. The clinician explores with the client what coping skills they have and what kind of skills would meet their needs and personality. Explores what kind of therapy they are looking for, what goals they want to achieve, and the timeline for change.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

The clinician's strengths are her experiences in life, and how she meets with clients on their level. With the clinician's history of having ADHD, she can meet the clients where they are and understand how they may be feeling and experiencing life. Then, offering hope at the end of the mental health tunnel, that seems never-ending for most experiencing mental health challenges.

I have experience working with addictions, depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, personality disorders, Autism, and developmental disorders. In therapy, I use many different modalities. I most commonly use CBT, behavioral therapy, ACT, and Biblical counseling. I also use motivational interviewing, family systems, and person-centered. I provide services and therapy based on the client’s individual needs and culture. I use assessments every three months to monitor progress along with client surveys.
