I am Horace Bailey, III. MRC, LPC, ATSA, CSOTS. I am a US ARMY Veteran who believes in integrity, openness, trustworthiness and accountability, with a little bit of humor thrown in, because laughter and fun are good medicine too. I started out more than 15 years ago as an intern and mental health implementer in Jonesboro Arkansas while I was at Arkansas State University, completing my bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I am a firm believer in working with clients to create measurable and quantifiable goals that are short term but build to long term goals and progress. With the client driving the change and charting their own progress over time, I believe, aids clients in creating a sense of independence and empowerment, especially when traumatic events in life tend to rob people of that sense of empowerment: I work with clients to help them get their voice back.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have a proven record of success with clients and have worked in behavioral health and management of teams of therapists as well as helped run the behavioral needs of several outpatient facilities as well as I have been a licensed counselor for more than 17 years. I have an ABEC specialization with ATSA (association of treatment of sexual abuse) with the state of Arkansas and I have maintained it for the last 7 years along with my LPC designation, and I am also licensed to practice in Arizona and Florida in addition to Arkansas. I feel as if I have the caring, vision, understanding, experience, drive; as well as the discipline and determination to continue to aid individuals on their own personal growth journey as I continue on my own.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

While I am primarily a solution-based and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapist, I feel that the driving change that can be implemented in any client's life starts with them. It is the therapist’s job to aid clients in realizing their own potential, but that starts with the therapist demonstrating openness, caring and trustworthiness, and those things help the client realize that their thoughts, feelings and behaviors are all linked and need to be used simultaneously to implement real change.

Trauma-Focused CBT

While I am primarily a solution and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapist, I feel that the driving change that can be implemented in any client's life starts with them. It is the therapist’s job to aid clients in realizing their own potential, but that starts with the therapist demonstrating openness, caring and trustworthiness, and those things help the client realize that their thoughts, feelings and behaviors are all linked and need to be used simultaneously to implement real change.
