Hi, My name is Debbie! Do you ever feel the light has gone out and you are navigating alone and in the dark? Does life seem to have no meaning and purpose? Do you struggle to get out of bed? Has something happened in your life that has caused you to question yourself and everything around you? Find Hope Here – Let’s work together to find a brighter tomorrow. Life can be miserable at times but it shows great insight on your part to reach out for help. By doing this you have completed the first step. Being willing to accept, change, and adapt to your new situation, can be daunting and scary but I want to walk this journey with you. You are worth it and deserve a better life with consistency, growth and a little fun! I am a Licensed Mental Health Therapist with 13-plus years of phone counseling experience related to grief, trauma, depression, anxiety, and life transition related to postpartum depression, new careers, retirement, divorce, disabilities, and the aging process. Experience also includes building and maintaining relationships in a healthy way. I want to walk this journey with you providing empathy, education, and a non-judgmental safe place for you to share your thoughts and feelings. We will move at your pace because we cannot rush grief. Thank you for allowing me to share your life and its many detours.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I will begin by making sure you are comfortable and feel safe enough to share what is on your mind and heart. We will move at your pace, however there are a couple of questions I need to ask you – such as suicidal and thoughts of harming yourself or anyone else. In the first session, we will address your reason for seeking therapy – I will also ask questions as we go along to allow you to speak your mind in a calm, friendly, and nonjudgmental setting.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

Tools used in session – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) - challenging negative thoughts - homework assignments - teaching people how to better manage their emotions Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) - helping people cope with stress and build healthy relationships - regulating their emotions - being self-aware - distress tolerance - mindfulness Solution Focused Brief Theraphy (SFBT) - some clients are looking for only 4 sessions to help with things like test anxiety, mild depression, mild anxiety, how to get along with co-workers Rogerian therapy - Client-focused therapy in a non-judgemental setting

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
