I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Arizona and I have been working with clients who have experienced trauma and other challenges for almost 5 years. I completed my Master's program through Fordham University and love to bring my social work background to therapy in order to fully support my clients as whole people. I support those on a healing journey to create the most fulfilling, healthy life possible.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

To start our work together, it is important to get a "big picture" view of the challenges you are facing including not only your symptoms but personal history, supports, and strengths. I find it is very helpful to get to know one another, and I like to share a bit about myself, my credentials, and the ways I approach therapy to get a feel for each other and help you decide what would be most effective for you. I love questions so feel free to bring whatever you are curious/concerned about so we can discuss!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I truly believe that every person can find hope and build a fulfilling life if given the supports and tools they need. Through my work with trauma I have found that leveraging my own personal journey to better understand my clients and their challenges has allowed me to bring a level of compassion, flexibility, and unconditional care that many clients have not had the opportunity to experience in the past, and which allows them to make meaningful change that they may not have believed possible.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

Above all else my priority is to curate a unique combination of techniques to support each client's individual journey over taking a cookie-cutter approach where things can be overlooked or leaving someone feeling unheard. I value flexibility and want to leverage my diverse background of knowledge to help each client end up where they want to go.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I find DBT is a powerful tool to support decreasing experiences of chaos internally and externally. Approaches can combine DBT in an eclectic approach or focus specifically on skill-building in a more structured way.

Polyvagal Therapy

Our bodies are so often overlooked in traditional therapy where the focus is on thoughts and logic- In my experience this can only take us so far if we are not considering the entirety of a person's experience: mind/body/soul.

Gender-affirming therapy

I have a broad background working with queer, gender diverse, non-binary, trans, and those who are exploring their identity. I love supporting clients as they explore who they are and work to live in alignment with their truth.

EMDR

EMDR can be used to support clients with a variety of symptoms to move beyond stressful and overwhelming experiences from the past and move forward to create a fulfilling peaceful life.
