Hello there, I'm Naomi. My approach to therapy is, first and foremost, patient-centered. I believe we are all the masters of our own lives, and that therapy can be a vehicle for growth and change when we most need it. I specialize in mood disorders, anxiety/OCD, self-harm, race/cultural issues, family systems issues, and self-esteem issues. Deciding to begin therapy can feel scary, but I believe that anyone who chooses to go on a therapeutic journey is making a great choice. It's through the difficult moments in life that test our resolve that we learn what we're truly capable of, and I'm here to act as a support on your journey.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session together, we'll get to know each other! I'll ask you questions to get a good sense for the challenges you're facing, and will develop a plan with you for addressing these challenges based on your reporting.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I have a background working with adolescents and young adults and have worked with clients on issues related to school refusal and avoidance.
Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.
I love working with young adults and adults trying to figure out their goals and ambitions in life. It's easy to feel stuck when there are so many options, and I am eager to help folks who are wading in that sea of self-doubt to figure out what meaning and experience they want to derive.
