I am a licensed clinical social worker with 7 years of professional work experience. I have worked with a wide range of people from the senior population both in the community and healthcare settings all the way down to children ages 3 and up in the school setting. I have extensive knowledge in regards to state and federal senior programs and resources as well as IEP and 504 plans and services in schools. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

By counseling style is very laid back and client focused. You will be an active member in your journey. I want you to feel empowered and hopeful after sessions as well as a sense of relief or such that a weight has been lifted off your shoulders. Know that you are not alone and I am here to be a part of this journey of healing with you.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I use a more narrative focused treatment method, with aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialetical behavioral therapy as well as acceptance and committment therapy. I also often use worksheets and exercises to help further practice learned strategies and skills.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have quite a bit of experience with the aging population as well as with younger kids and school related concerns. I also have experience with grief and loss, trauma and pregnancy/postpartum needs.
