Welcome! Thank you for reading my profile. I'm Michele, a licensed clinical social worker. I graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore and have been practicing since 2009. I work with adults from age 18-100! It’s wonderful that you are considering therapy. Taking the first step is not always easy, so good for you! I offer a warm, welcoming, non-judgmental, safe environment for us to work in. I’ve worked with clients on issues such as being more assertive, setting boundaries, life transitions and much more. There is no such thing as cookie cutter therapy. I will meet you where you are and we will develop goals together. You are the expert in your life and I will always respect and honor that. We will move at a pace that you are comfortable with. Therapy can be a great tool to get your life where you want it to be. If all of that sounds like something that would be good for you, please reach out. I look forward to working with you!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will get to know each other a bit and talk about what brought you to therapy. Together we will decide on a game plan to help you reach your goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am a compassionate and non-judgmental individual and I bring that to my practice and to every client session. I provide a safe environment to talk about tough and challenging issues.

My treatment methods

Psychodynamic

Our past frequently guides our thoughts and behaviors in ways we may not realize. I work with clients to explore the past and discover patterns that can be changed to meet the client's goals.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Being present and in tune with yourself and your experiences can be a challenge in a busy world. I work with clients to determine what is important to them and how they can remain fully present and not miss the great things happening around them.
