Rebecca McWhorter, LCSW # 87376 has experience with all age groups within many multicultural settings. I start with where the patient is should they be suffering from depression, anxiety, trauma, and/or grief. My practice focuses on patient care.I started out by working with at-risk youth just before college. I continued my outreach to struggling groups and individuals which led me to Social Work. Telehealth has allowed me to expand my practice into many new areas with new challenges that keep me driven to do this work.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My first session will generally start with some "housekeeping" or information the patient should be aware of depending on their previous exposure to mental health services. Next is an initial assessment to better understand how the patient arrived at this point in their life and where they would like to go next.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am trained in several approaches that can create new insights about your feelings and behaviors. I’ll create a tailored plan based on your needs that may include helping you clarify your desires, learn new tools for communication, and identify unhealthy patterns as they unfold.
