I play crucial roles as a wife, mother, and grandmother in my multifaceted life. Throughout my career, I've served as Executive Director, Program Director, and Clinical Director, offering a holistic view gained from inpatient and outpatient mental health experiences. I specialize in women's issues and work with diverse populations. I hold degrees in Human Services, Master of Social Work, and Doctor of Psychology (PsyD). Additionally, I'm certified as a Professional Life Coach. I am licensed in DE, NC, and SC. Building a strong therapeutic alliance is paramount. I foster this alliance by cultivating trust, effective communication, collaboration, addressing resistance, cultural competence, and successful implementation of therapeutic techniques. My focus is on creating a positive therapeutic alliance and an environment that promotes growth, healing, and positive transformation. The impact of our work extends far beyond our sessions, influencing the success and sustainability of your journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we'll start with introductions, review the privacy policy, and then explore the reasons for seeking therapy. We'll discuss your history to build a Comprehensive Clinical Assessment, laying the groundwork for your individualized treatment plan to guide future sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths are empathy, active listening skills, cultural competence, and a genuine desire to help others meet their therapeutic and life goals. I demonstrate professionalism, respect, confidentiality and maintain boundaries while fostering trust and rapport with clients. I help my clients maintain accountability for their treatment. Additionally, I continually seek to expand my knowledge through ongoing education and training, remaining open-minded and adaptable in my approach to therapy.
