Hi, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been in the field since 20008. I wholeheartedly believe that every person can recover from any challenge if they have the right support. For my clients, I try to be that right support. My approach is person-centered, embracing you for who you are and supportively walking along with you in your treatment journey!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we’ll spend few minutes on introductions, we’ll go over your expectations from treatment, complete few brief assessment forms, and identify the goals you’d like to work on.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my biggest assets as a therapist is my ability to hear you, understand your story, and help you gain and develop a skillset unique to your needs and goals.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is my main treatment modality and I have been successfully applying this approach in my work with individuals experiencing various mental health and substance use challenges. I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to get my CBT training by the Beck Institute. I will work with you to help you identify automatic thoughts that trigger your emotions , and will explore ways that will help develop healthy thinking and behavior patterns.

Motivational Interviewing

I have been successful in helping clients achieve their goals using the principles of Motivation Interviewing I firmly believe every person has the inner resources they often don’t know they have. I lean heavily into the methods of Motivational interviewing to help uncover your inner resources , your strengths, and explore ways to active your goals despite of barriers that you may encounter .

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-Based therapy uses meditation, relaxation and awareness exercises designed to help you focus on the present moment, to help you experience day to day situations and stressors in nonjudgmental and non-reactionary ways. I often combine Mindfulness-Based Therapy with CBT as a way to help you gain awareness into your thoughts and feelings; and then being in Motivational Interviewing to help you make desired changes.
