Hello. I am a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC) and a licensed alcohol and drug counselor (LADC) with over three years of experience working with adolescents and adults who struggle with addiction and mental illness. My passion is to help navigate life challenges with my clients. I hope to ensure a safe safe space for client's to share and process these challenges to overcome through insight and skill development.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will start out by getting to know each other. I will begin by telling you a little bit about me and asking you questions about yourself. We will go over the goals and expectations of therapy. The client should have a strong understand of what to expect in future sessions and a general understanding of areas of development and target areas.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have worked in numerous settings such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, and inpatient settings. These experiences have allowed me to empathize, actively listen to , and validate my clients. Challenging my clients to do the hard work is a philosophy that is very much part and parcel to my approach.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use a CBT approach to introduce my clients to potential cognitive distortions they may be experiencing. This method allows clients to analyze their thoughts, gain insight into negative thinking patterns, reframe and ultimately replace with more flexible and adaptive thoughts.

Faith based therapy

I utilize an integrated approach grounded in traditional islamic psychological principles and methods.

Trauma Informed Care

I utilize a trauma informed approached seeking to create a safe space for clients to recognize their trauma and allow for space to educate on trauma symptoms. The goal in using this. approach provides the opportunity to share treatment methods that can help manage symptoms of trauma and foster long term growth and resilience.
