Hello there, My name is Dr. Tanye' Tyler (she/her), DSW, MBA, LCSW, but feel free to call me "Dr. T." As a licensed clinical social worker, I have expertise in trauma-informed counseling. I understand that sometimes, we face situations that can be challenging to handle, even with our best efforts. I have a broad understanding of trauma, which allows me to offer empathy and support to my clients without judgment. During our conversations, I will be a compassionate listener, and you can trust that nothing you say will ever surprise me. I specialize in evidence-based practices and frameworks, particularly those related to issues that affect Blacks, Indigenous people, and other persons of color and the LGBTQIA+ community. I check my emails and messages every 3-4 hours between 10:00 am and 7:00 pm (CDT), and I strive to respond to you as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours. Please understand that my off days vary and are reflected on the appointment scheduling page. If you need to cancel an appointment, please do so at least 24 hours in advance; otherwise, you will be billed at the no-show rate. Thank you for choosing me as your therapist. I look forward to working with you. I look forward to our chat! Dr. T

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Once you schedule your intake appointment through Grow Therapy, you will receive a welcome message from me with instructions on scheduling future appointments. Our initial intake session will be rescheduled to a free 15-minute video consultation. Please note that this consultation is necessary in order to schedule your complete intake. To request the free 15-minute consultation appointment, please complete the consent, assessment, and account information requests that will be sent to your email on file with Grow Therapy. Once you have finished, you can select the appointment type that is relevant to you. During our first session, we will discuss your reasons for starting therapy and go over general intake questions. By the end of the first three sessions, we will determine whether we are a good match for each other. To make sure our meeting goes smoothly, please take a moment to answer the following questions: 1. What is motivating you to pursue therapy at this time? 2. What is your ultimate goal for seeking therapy? Who do you want to be? What do you want your life to look like? 3. Is there anything you would like me to know before our first session to make you more comfortable? If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to message me through the secure portal. I am here to help you. Thank you, and I am looking forward to our conversation soon! Best regards, Dr. T

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

The way we think and the way we feel are inextricably linked. I use CBT to help individuals understand the connection and break or integrate new habits.
