Hi, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Northern California. I have been providing mental health services and interventions for the past 6years. Prior to that I was providing addiction counseling. My approach is genuine and authentic, warm and welcoming. I use motivational interviewing to move you along. To assist you in the transformative process. Together we will unpack what has been pushed down for years, change your perspective, focusing on core values and true self. I have work 4 years in crisis intervention, stabilization and helping you develop a plan to move forward with your life. Do you feel overwhelmed and exhausted by the challenges life throws your way? Life has shown up and you might feel depressed, anxious, lonely or angry. You could be struggling in your relationships. Do you have unresolved grief, trauma or shame? Do you allow your emotions to get the best of you? You have found the right place. You have taken the first step towards self-healing and transformation. Seeking therapy can be a scary process. It's difficult to be vulnerable with a stranger. I believe clients should be treated with compassion, dignity and respect. I encourage you to reach out and begin the healing process. A lot of issues we struggle with start with the relationship we have with our selves. When we change ourselves, our issues tend to resolve as well. I provide a safe, caring and nonjudgmental environment and use evidence-based therapies to help you meet your goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session I will introduce therapy structure and expectations; explore client's presenting problem, support client with emotional needs, answer client's questions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My presentation is direct, yet empathetic and nurturing at the same time. I encourage you to own the freedom to change your mind and direction without shame or guilt, ask questions, take risks and live your life with no regrets. As the great Wayne Gretzky said, "You'll miss 100% of the shots you don't take." Or as Yoda said, "Do or do not, there is no try'" Come see me. Together, we will get you back on track.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-focused therapy is a type of treatment that highlights a client’s ability to solve problems, rather than why or how the problem was created. We will focus on goal-oriented questioning to assist you in moving into a future-oriented direction.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past six years. It’s helped dozens of client's challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a modified type of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Its main goals are to teach people how to live in the moment, develop healthy ways to cope with stress, regulate their emotions, and improve their relationships with others.
