I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia. I have over 10 years of experience working as a counselor. I obtained my Master of Education in Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health from Delta State University. I have worked with clients ranging from ages 4 to geriatric. During that time, I have worked with an array of individuals with a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulty, self-esteem, ADHD, Schizophrenia, and Bipolar. As a counselor, I want you to consider me your tour guide. Along the journey, I will be present with you and point out important things. I will help equip you with the proper tools to improve your current state and overall quality of life. I believe in humanism and being transparent. I want you to be able to trust me in the process and with your information.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first therapy session together, we'll focus on establishing a strong foundation for our therapeutic relationship. I'll provide a welcoming and confidential space for you to openly share your thoughts, concerns, and goals. We'll discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, and I'll ask questions to gain a better understanding of your unique experiences and perspectives. This initial session is an opportunity for us to collaboratively outline your therapeutic objectives and discuss the therapeutic process. Additionally, this allows us an opportunity to get to know one another and ensure that we are the best fit for each other, specifically if I am equipped to assist you in achieving your goal.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a POC, it is important to me to ensure there is no more suffering in silence. I am committed to providing a voice to the younger generation with the use of play when talk therapy is not the best option. I am passionate about prison reform, mental health provided to offenders, and the continuity of care for ex-offenders and their families. My strengths include Women's Empowerment, and the continued fight for education, empathy, respect, and understanding of all humans.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I am a person-centered therapist. Simply speaking, I utilize the approach that is best for the client in certain situations. This allows me to prioritize creating a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore and express thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Rooted in the principles of empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuine understanding, this method is centered around each client's unique needs and perspectives. I strive to actively listen, reflect, and collaborate with you, fostering a therapeutic relationship built on trust and respect. Together, we work towards self-exploration and personal growth, allowing you the autonomy to navigate your journey of self-discovery and positive change at your own pace.
