I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Pennsylvania with 15+ years of experience in the mental health field. I have experience working in various clinical settings as a leader and educator. I am passionate about helping my clients work through depression, anxiety, family conflicts, self-esteem issues, and major life transitions. I understand that life can be hard and messy. Taking the first step to seek therapy can be overwhelming, but the healing process is transformative!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session is a "getting to know you phase". This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. I work from a non-judgmental harm-reduction lens, presenting the therapeutic environment as a safe space to process feelings and help clients to find their voice. I take a person-centered approach to treatment, respecting the client as the author of their own story.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I utilize multiple treatment approaches including mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, exploration of patterns/emotions, psychoeducation, role-playing, structured problem-solving, and cognitive reframing.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have used CBT techniques to help assist clients in challenging their negative thoughts and behaviors.

Narrative

It is important to me that clients feel safe enough to share their stories during sessions. This approach is useful to better understand, identify and explore negative thinking patterns. We can work together to help you reach your goals.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

Cultural background and perspective have a huge impact on the way we think, act and relate to the world. A deeper understanding of these cultural components is key to self-discovery.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I utilize this modality which offers a safe, supportive and judgment free space, allowing you to be the author of your story. This approach encourages you to find your voice on the journey to self-discovery.
