Hi there, I'm Jessica. Do you feel unappreciated, unseen, and unheard? Do you often put the needs of others before your own because “That’s the way things have always been”? Are you questioning your purpose in life, feeling lost, as if life is happening “to you”? Are you struggling to make time for yourself, feel stressed, or overwhelmed? Do you find making time for yourself, relationships, work, or health challenging? I help sensitive, ambitious women break cycles of overthinking and self-doubt, manage depression and anxiety, and avoid burnout. We will work together to identify unhealthy patterns that have you stuck and get you to a Thriving level of life and freedom. We will use a person-centered, culturally sensitive, strengths-based, and empowering approach to guide you through your authentic journey to unpack, unlearn, and navigate to improve mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness. I also integrate mindfulness and faith/spirituality to help you develop a stronger relationship with yourself. Whether you are dealing with cycles of anxiety, depression, a relationship, significant life transition, or you feel overwhelmed as a single parent of a child with special needs, I'm here to help. I provide an empathetic and soulful foundation to guide you through your journey to thrive. Looking for a therapist can be difficult. The therapeutic process can be frightening. And the fact that you are here, at this very moment, means you are in the right place at the right time. Remember, this is a journey, and it is YOURS. Let's work together.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session will be relaxed and more of a "getting to know you," reviewing the intake, and beginning to clarify 2-3 specific goals for us to work on. This process may extend over the first few sessions. But, most importantly, you will have the opportunity to let go, flow, and be. Come as you are. Your sessions are a safe space for you to be yourself. It is a judgment-free zone for exploring your needs and getting to know and better understand yourself. Be open to the journey!

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I have an integrative trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and strengths-based approach to therapy, which embraces the whole person. I often integrate a variety of the following treatment modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed CBT, Mindfulness-Based CBT, Family Systems, Interpersonal, Relational, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cultural Systems, and Acceptance and Commitment (ACT).

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My focus area is working with women who identify as Black, Indigenous, or of Color (BIWOC), who cope with depression, anxiety, daily stress, self-esteem, life transitions, family/relational conflict, diverse cultural systems, single-mother parenting, and parenting a child with a unique ability. I have worked with a diverse clientele, and I am dedicated to uplifting and amplifying the voices of BIWOC, helping you develop the self-confidence to heal, trust from within and gather the tools needed to begin to thrive in a life you love.
