I am a Licensed Independant Social Worker (LISW-S) with over 19 years of clinical experience in community mental health and private practice. I provide individual therapy to children, adolescents and adults, with specialty areas that include anxiety and depression issues, mindfulness, relaxation training, developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorder. I have two undergraduate degrees in Music and Psychology from Baldwin Wallace College and a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSSA) from Case Western Reserve University. I have experience in using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and mindfulness interventions with clients. I also have completed training in yoga and incorporate mind body interventions into counseling.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I use the first session to gather background information about the client. It is a chance to get to know each other and what the client's goals for counseling are. I also help the client understand my style of counseling and what treatment modalities would be appropriate for them. I try to make clients comfortable by providing a nonjudgmental atmosphere.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have struggled with my own mental health issues and understand what many clients are experiencing. I am also passionate about helping others to better their lives.
