Greetings! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Tennessee. The past 23 years I have worked in a variety of therapeutic roles in a variety of populations. I specialize in treating trauma and women's issues, but I don't exclusively see women. My job is to make you feel safe and comfortable when doing the work, and I am pretty good at it. Looking forward to getting to know you and walk along your recovery path together.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session we will discuss what brings you to our meeting and how you would like your life to look like as you work your process. I will ask about former treatment and how successful it was for you, and what you liked about it. I will also ask about your expectations and hopefully answer any questions you may have. Then we will discuss which areas we need to begin with.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
The thing I like the most about being a therapist is the amazing resiliency found in the people I have the pleasure to work with. My greatest strength is my ability to meet you where you are non-judgmentally and in comfort. Having been in this field for over two decades, I can tell you that I am happy just getting to know you and travel your path with you.
Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.
If you find that you keep tripping over the same issues in your daily life and are willing to look at what that issue means to you, then we would work well together. It could be depression, anxiety, chaotic relationships or simple frustration that leads you to want to talk with someone. I believe we can meet where you are in your process and untangle the roots of what is driving these feelings of unease.
