You are more resilient than you think. Being here, you are already taking the first step towards wellness. And what does wellness look like for you; more joy, less anxiety, better sleep? Are you adjusting to a new medical condition, amid a life transition or wanting to improve your relationships? I work from a whole-person health approach. Our bodies and our minds are connected, as well as those who move through life with us. I have navigated the behavioral health world for over 30 years. You will have a partner in your health journey; spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical. I will provide concrete coping skills and goals, as well as existential widening and techniques for inner peace. I believe everyone can change, but change requires a plan, dedication, community, support, encouragement, and accountability. If you are ready, or just even want to see if you are ready to make sustainable change, I am here for you. Let’s get working!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

What I enjoy most about the therapeutic process, is hearing your story unfold. I am fascinated by the human experience and will want to learn yours. When we tell our story, we can take notice of our perceptions and beliefs. Together we will increase our awareness about your strengths and patterns and move towards growth and healing.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have worked in the psychiatric field for 30 years. Navigating the health system can be very challenging. I am also a certified care manager. I have experience in inpatient settings, residential, substance use, and serious mental illness. I specialize in co-occurring medical conditions and learning to adjust to a life-changing medical event.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is evidenced based best practice for mood stabilization, depression, and anxiety. Our thoughts dictate our mood.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing is the perfect counterpart to CBT. The interviewing process peels back the layers of the onion and identifies our automatic thoughts and how they interfere with our goals.
