Are you struggling to keep up with your family relationships, work and health? Do you know what you need to do but it is hard to make the changes needed? Are you harder on yourself than you are on others? I help people make healthy decisions, manage anxiety and develop strategies to support change and manage stress. Together, we can identify what's not working and get you where you want to be. We'll use a whole self approach, addressing the needs of your mind, body and spirit. I also integrate mindfulness to help you develop a stronger relationship with yourself. I have worked in schools for over two decades and love helping parents improve their relationships with their children and learn strategies to help set their children up for long term success. In addition to being a clinical social worker, I am a certified mindfulness teacher and a registered yoga teacher. Whether you're dealing with school or work stress, family difficulties or cycles of anxiety and depression, I'm here to help. Seeking therapy can feel scary but you're making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome the thoughts and habits holding you back. Let's work together!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together we will start with introductions, get to know each other and set goals so we can develop a plan that will help you meet those goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I bring my expertise in mindfulness into each session, helping you feel grounded and ready to move forward. I love helping others develop the strategies to manage stress and feel better. I use a variety of cognitive behavioral and mindfulness based practices that will help to keep you grounded during and in-between your therapy sessions. I will incorporate sand tray therapy and yoga into sessions when appropriate.

My treatment methods

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I integrate mindfulness principles into therapy throughout the therapeutic process, teaching these skills to clients in order to help them develop stress management strategies and improve their overall mental health.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I help clients identify thought patterns and develop helpful ways of thinking and managing problems. Understanding the interaction of thoughts, feelings and behaviors is the first step in changing negative thought patterns.

Mind-body approach

I am a certified yoga teacher and work with people to understand the connection between mind/body/spirit, using strategies that clients can implement both in and out of therapy sessions.

Sandplay

Both children and adults benefit from sand tray therapy as a way to process through difficult emotions that can be hard to verbalize and find ways to regulate these difficult emotions. Manipulating objects in sand to tell their story can remove the barriers to sharing challenging thoughts and feelings.
